Photo Essay: Koh Phangan, Thailand

Koh Phangan, Thailand

Kiri Bowers takes us through a stunning photo essay on the beach paradise of Koh Phangan, Thailand. Hedonists rejoice!

Maybe I just don’t have the words to describe just how much Koh Phangan means to me.  This island has it all and I think of it now as my second home.

Laid back, beautiful and unspoiled by garish corporations, this Thai island will always be my favourite.  With nightlife like nowhere else on earth, it’s a place where hedonism reigns supreme.

In photos from my photographer partner Roscoe Duncan, here’s Koh Phangan as we saw it.

Looks beautiful. Hopefully I can make it there when I get to Thailand in a couple months!

So you’re South/Central American jaunt is coming to an end? Cool! Bet you’re going to have a great time in Asia. Aside from Thailand, where else are you looking forward to going to?

I spent a month in a 2 dollar a night hut on the beach back in 2003. I’m not big on nightlife, but loved the island. I must get back there one of these days.

2 dollars a night! Wow! I bet it’s slightly more these days no? What else did you like about the island?
